Why Should I Buy Ravencoin (RVN)?

Ravencoin, an asset creation-based platform, enjoys many benefits over most other cryptocurrencies. Some of these include:

Highly flexible asset options. In addition to the standard features associated with token generation, such as name, supply, and number of decimal places, Ravencoin lets users create tokens with advanced features, such as dividend payment, category, and voting options.

Easy to use. Ravencoin offers its users client and RPC commands to protect their assets from being destroyed accidentally, as well as issuing, tracking, and transferring their assets with a single click.

Unique token creation. Every token generated in Ravencoin has a unique, irreplaceable name that ensures the owner will always have rights to that project name within the Ravencoin system.

Fork of bitcoin. Because Ravencoin is heavily based on the code for bitcoin, it enjoys the stability and security of bitcoin and the potential for second-layer solutions to be developed in the future, including the Lightning Network, SegWit, and other scalability solutions.

What is Ravencoin?

Ravencoin (RVN) is a third-generation, token creation cryptocurrency platform developed to create a “bitcoin-like system that is fully asset aware.” Ravencoin tokens, known as assets, are highly customizable, capable of possessing a wide array of characteristics and representing any digital or physical asset. They can also represent shares of a project (securities token), virtual goods (tickets to a sporting event), and credits (gift cards or reward points). With Ravencoin’s advanced user interface, token holders can be messaged, engage in voting activities, enjoy different privacy options, and be paid dividends or otherwise rewarded based on the content of their holdings.

How Ravencoin Works

Ravencoin was developed with ease of asset transfers in mind. Like bitcoin, Ravencoin is a Proof of Work coin but differs in that it uses a novel consensus algorithm called X16R. This new type of PoW algorithm is used to help prevent dominance by mining pools and make it harder for the coin to be mined using ASICs. Unlike Ethereum-based tokens, all tokens created on the Ravencoin platform have unique names, and the first party to issue a token with a given name will forever be the sole owner of that name. Tokens can be made to be unique, limited, or fungible, meaning their total supply can still be increased later in the future. They can also be divided into subcategories to distinguish types of shareholders, memberships, or benefactors. Additionally, tokens can yield dividend payments or rewards in the denomination of RVN, the system native coin.

History of Ravencoin

Ravencoin was announced to the public on October 31st, 2017. It released its mining client on January 3rd, 2018, which coincides with the 9th anniversary of bitcoin. Ravencoin was launched with no premine and no portion of tokens dedicated for developers or team members. RVN was established for trading in March 2018, and by October 2018, it was a top 100 coin by market capitalization.
