Introduction to ZB.com

ZB.com is one of the larger cryptocurrency exchanges by volume, processing over $1 billion in trades across 150+ coin pairings on a daily basis. Creating an account is super easy, and the exchange offers several different types of trading, with something for all levels of trader from beginner to pro. ZB.com has been in operation under different names for over 7 years and in that time they have managed to attract over 10 million customers.

Though the exchange is geared primarily toward Chinese customers, ZB.com allows people to sign up from all over the world. The exchange interface is a bit clunky and even though the website is set to English by default (for countries outside China); some screens are dominated by Chinese characters, making it sometimes challenging to navigate. If you can get around this, ZB.com is a highly-liquid, trustworthy exchange that carries quite a big selection of coin pairings.

How to trade on ZB.com

There are three different ways to trade on ZB.com:

  • Spot. This is the traditional purchase and sales of 80+ coins and tokens.
  • OTC. This is for larger buyers and sellers who want to make a single trade at a single rate.
  • Leverage. This type of trading is for more advanced traders with an appetite for risk.

ZB.com also supports margin trading for some coins (BTC, ETH, EOS, ZB, DOT, XRP, LTC, ADA, XLM, TRX, NEO, ETC, DASH, DOGE, QTUM, BTS, and HC), but only up to 3x for most coins or 5x for BTC.

ZB.com trading and withdrawal fees

Trading fees start at 0.2% for all trades but can be reduced by rising in VIP level (based on 30-day trading volume) or using the exchange’s utility token, ZB, to supplant fees.

ZB.com has very low withdrawal fees. The withdrawal fee for Bitcoin is 0.0001 BTC, for Litecoin its 0.005 LTC, and for Ethereum it is 0.01 ETH. These are quite modest compared to many other exchanges of ZB.com’s size.

Overview of supported coins

ZB.com lists about 80 different coins. The 10 highest traded coins on the exchange are:

  • BTC
  • XRP
  • LTC
  • ETH
  • EOS
  • Stellar
  • Tether
  • Filecoin
  • Polkadot

Trades are paired with one of the following bases:

  • BTC
  • USDT
  • LTC
  • ETH
  • ETC
  • EOS
  • BTS
  • QTUM
  • HC
  • DASH
  • PAX

Security and Customer Service

ZB.com has never been hacked an employs a decent amount of security features for its users. In addition to 2-FA, the exchange features PIN settings for withdrawals, email and SMS authentication for login and trading access.

Customer service at ZB.com can be hit or miss. There seems to be a language barrier as most support agents are likely based in China. If you suffer more severe problems, you may be on your own, and patience will almost certainly be required.

Wrapping it up

In all, ZB.com is a high-volume exchange that is a bit clunky but still usable and considered to be trustworthy. The signup process is simple, and there are a lot of different coins to be traded there. If you don’t mind some confusing elements about the trading screen and plan on keeping things basic, you’ll likely have no troubles there.
